I'm always on the look out for new fake tan products to try out, and when I stumbled across
Garnier's Summer Body, I was really excited to try it out.
Summer Body is a gradual daily tanning lotion which builds up a natural looking tan. I have used gradual tanning lotions in the past, but have always been keeping my eye out for one which doesn't have that tell-tale 'biscuit' smell - which Summer Body doesn't! With Apricot extract, and a really fruity fragrance, I was really happy with my purchase.
I arrived home and after a shower that evening, I covered myself from head to toe in the product. I went to bed, only to wake up in the morning covered in the most
horrific rash ever!
Never in my life have I had an allergic reaction to any product. My skin isn't sensitive or prone to break outs, so this rash was truly mortifying for me.
All of my face, neck, chest, arms, torso and legs were covered in what can only be described as wart-like itchy red bumps. It looked vile. The rash was itchy and sore, unlike anything I have ever had before in my life.
I immediately took some Piriton to help ease the itching, which didn't work.
I tweeted about my allergic reaction on Twitter, and received a
huge response of people who have experienced the exact same thing, along with comments from girls saying they had complained to Gariner and their customer service had been shocking. Garnier had simply dismissed their complaints with comments along the lines of "It must be
your skin that is super sensitive."
Erm, no Garnier, it must be
your product, to say this many people have experienced the same thing as myself.
Even two weeks down the line, the rash still hasn't cleared up. I'm now left with dry patches of skin, that is peeling with open sores. I can't put anything on it to soothe it - even E45 cream makes it become angry again.

As you can see it still looks horrendous.
I'm warning you all to
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT!If this has happened to you, please state below in the comments as I shall be sending this link directly to Garnier via email. Thank you.
