Wishlist - February Edition

Vivienne Westwood pirate boots
I cannot explain how long I've wanted these boots for. In fact, 'wanted' is an understatement. I need these boots. Unfortunately at £345, I can't justify spending that much on a pair of boots. My boyfriend, however, did buy me some Viv inspired boots which you've probably seen in my birthday post. Instead of being tan with cream buckles, mine are grey with black buckles - I wear them slightly slouched around my ankles. Such a staple item in the wardrobe at the moment.

Topshop Skinny Leather Trousers
Simple. Staple item. Multi-purpose wear.

Benefit Coralista
I have been lusting after Coralista for some time now, but recently bought MAC's Style blush. I'll probably wait until I've used that up before I go out and purchase this. I do really love the shade - but am yet still to pop my Benefit blush cherry. I love how the blushes come with the teeny tiny brush. Although, I don't think I'd use the applicator, it seems to me that this would make it rather difficult to apply the blush evenly? I may be wrong? I much prefer kabuki style brushes for blusher applying.

Clippy London Wash bag
How amazing are these wash/make-up bags? I stumbled across them on a couple of YouTube channels. I felt in adoration with the idea of customising your own make-up bag. The beauty of Clippy London, is that you can choose your very own photos to slot into their merchandise - creating your very own personalised item. Great huh? They also make great gifts!

Topshop Tunic
I'm currently obsessing over the whole tobacco/camel coloured fashion as of late. I think this colour is amazing for Autumn/Winter and looks great layered with chunky knits in navy blues and plum reds.

Love birds

I'm sure most of you will recognise this blouse from my Wishlist - January Edition post. I was really excited when I laid my eyes on it in my local New Look! I just had to purchase the little beauty after previous weeks of lusting over it.

Isn't it pretty? Annnd... It has cute little birdies on it too.

I also really love these boots. My boyfriend bought them for me back in August for my birthday. He spotted them after knowing how much I've been craving the Vivienne Westwood pirate boots, and thought they were a good dupe to be going on with.

As much as I love the Viv boots, I don't think I could justify spending £345.00 on them. This makes me sad.

Topshop Make-up Haul

OK, so I know I'm a little bit overdue with this post. I'd read so many blogs about Topshop's make-up range, and was very eager to try out a few products from their selection. Being a consistent Topshop customer, I've surprised myself that I haven't picked up any of their makeup sooner.

None the less, over the weekend, I toddled into my local Topshop hoping to try out a few pieces. After inspecting all of the items, I finally settled for the following;

Nail Varnish - Mannequin £5.00
Nail Varnish - Sketch £5.00
Lipstick - Brighton Rock £8.00

'Mannequin' is the beautiful delicate nude shade, perfect with one coat for a french manicure or two coats for a perfect peachy pastel finish. 'Sketch' is a real earthy, grungy dark grey. I love 'Sketch'. It's really classic and just about goes with everything!

I really rate these nail varnishes and would highly recommend them. I'm quite the critic when it comes to nail varnishes - I'm difficult to please. Not only are Topshop's polishes thick and luxurious, but they're also long lasting. Hurray for Topshop!

I also picked up 'Brighton Rock' from the lipstick range. I had my eye on 'Hazard' on their website, but this was much nicer in the flesh. It really reminds me of MAC's Impassioned (another favourite lipstick of mine), so I was really happy to pick this one up at £4.00 cheaper than the MAC one.

Their lipsticks aren't as drying as I was expecting and are long lasting too. I shall hopefully be picking some more up soon!

Has anyone tried out anything else from the Topshop make-up collection? I really want to give the Cream Blushes a try. I've never used a cream blush before though, I've always used powder blushes, so I'm not sure if I'd be any good at applying them. Let me know your musings..

Put a spring in your step

Just a pop of colour that I'm currently loving.

Barry M - Spring Green

A little bright and summery, but we can all wish for sunshine can't we?
My current nail varnish storage system is getting a little bit too full, does anybody know of any great ways of storing nail varnishes? (plus links) That would be greatly apprechiated. I have a ridiculous amount of nail polishes.

Grey skies turn to dusk

I'm currently in adoration of chunky knits, jacquard, fairisle, check and tartan prints. So, as you can imagine, when I stumbled across this lovely fairisle print cardigan, I instantly had to purchase it.

Also, whilst on the topic; I know they're getting really popular and a little over-done now, but I really want a hobo jumper - I just need to find the perfect one.

MAC Blush in 'Style'

OK, so I know it's very summer-y and bright, but hey ho, I can wish for the warmer months can't I? My lovely boyfriend recently treated me to a MAC gift card, so whilst passing MAC I decided to pop in an pick up this gorgeous blush.

MAC Blush - Style

I'm really into my coral blushers, they seem to really suit my skin tone and colourings, whilst tinting me with a healthy glow. I've previously owned Eyeko's 'Candid Coral' blush and adore it, but 'Style' has so much more to offer. It is super pigmented, so a little goes a long way! Bear this in mind when applying - you don't want the end result to resemble anything clown-like (so, go easy!). It also has tiny flecks of glitter in the powder which just finish off this stunning blusher perfectly.

What do you girls think of MAC's 'Style' blush? What are your favourite coral blushes? I hear great things about Benefit's Coralista, but I'm still yet to try it.

Jump into a Jumpsuit

Hurray! I'm finally using my camera tripod for my outfit photos.

My lovely best friend knows how difficult it can be for me to catch my whole outfit in the shot, without getting too much background mess in the picture. Being the darling that she is, she bought me a tripod! How thoughtful? I was actually overcome with disappointment looking at each of my outfit posts, and all the bedroom clutter lurking in the background - but now, I can cut that all out by having a plain wall behind me so that your main focus is my actual outfit and not 'what I've left on my bedroom dressing table' ha ha!

And there we have it, my first uncluttered outfit post!

As much as I adore this jumpsuit, it can cause a few wardrobe malfunctions here and there - especially when visiting the ladies room hits the agenda. I tend to wear this jumpsuit for daily activities, as it can proove a little difficult to wriggle out of on nights out when Captain Vodka is in charge of the ship. I must admit, it does get a little bit fiddly, but that aside, I really love it. The pussy bow front tie and delicate vintage-look buttons really complete the jumpsuit making it delicate and girly with a unique edge to it.

Moving onto another note, quite a few of you have been commenting lately and sending me emails asking what colour I dye my hair. I use Loreal Feria Plum Power. When I first dye my hair it is a purple-ish plum colour, but when it begins to wash up, it becomes a lovely warm mahogany colour. So, just in case you're wondering, I'm not using two different hair dyes, it's just the colour it fades up as.
