Tease your Tangles
Having quite long hair, after a shower, the chore of combing your tangled mess of a barnett can be quite a challenge. I've been eyeing up the Tangle Teezer for a few months now wondering if it's as good as I've heard. I finally decided to pick myself one up. Everybody seems to have the pink one, where as I really loved the glittery blue/purple one.
Tonight, I put the Tangle Teezer to the test. I was greeted by tangle free hair without much hair being pulled out during the process either, which I was really happy about. I hate seeing hair come out by the clump when I comb through my wet hair, so it was refreshing to seen only a small amount of hair had actually come out.
All in all, I would give the Tangle Teezer a 8/10.
Have you ever used the Tangle Teezer? What colour do you have and what do you think to it?

got the time?
I remember a time when the Argos catalogue was the highlight of my childhood days. The arrival of the latest edition meant hours spent deciding what I wanted for Birthday/Christmas/Insert occasion here...and then, suddenly, that stopped, it fell out of favour in my fickle mind and I started to look further afield.
Well,
Shame on me. When Argos got in touch the other day and asked if I'd like to pick a watch to review and I got browsing...the magic returned. With their huge range of ladies watches to suit all tastes and budgets, all those memories came flooding back.
I picked this Firetrap watch, taken in by the delicate stud detailed wrist band and clean cut simplicity. I have the wrists of a small child so had to take it to my local watch repairer to get it adjusted, but it is otherwise perfect and hasn't left my wrist since it's arrival! Retailing at £64.99 I think it's a bit of a bargain, nailing a popular trend yet staying classic.
If you haven't taken a look at Argos lately, convinced like I was that it is somewhat dated...I suggest you take a closer look. It's still an Aladdins cave of treasures and I bet you some of that childhood magic returns.
Go on,
have a browse and let me know what you find!

in the half light
H&M Bunny dress, New Look skirt, Tesco tights, Georgia Rose boots c/o Sarenza.
8am starts make it even less likely that I'll catch decent enough light for semi-ok outfit photos...seriously Spring, hurry up and get here so I'm not prancing around in the half light, and looking over my shoulder as I walk to work. I think this is what I wore on Monday; it's been a long week!
Yesterday I did my first proper session taking people's blood at work, I admit, it's a strange thing to love doing...but love it I do and it's something I've wanted to do ever since I started my job.
What's something you'd love to do? Strange or not? What's stopping you from giving it a go?
Almost at the weekend folks. ALMOST!

Haul February 2012: Primark & Republic
I recently popped down to my local shopping centre for a little peruse around. There wasn't anything in particular that I'd wanted to pick up, but I just decided to have a shop around anyways. I went into most of the shops but ended up buying from Republic and Primark. I picked up a bargain actually! Here's what I bought;
Republic Aztec Cardigan - £25
I've actually been wanting some kind of Aztec jumper for a while now, so when I stumbled across this one at £25 from Republic, I grabbed it straight away. I actually bought this in a large so that it is nice and cosy, rather than being fitted. I like cardigans to be a lot more of a loose fit.
Primark bodycon dress - £10
I do feel as though Primark has become more expensive over this last year, so when I found this dress at £10 I thought it was quite a bargain considering. I like the mesh detailing around the chest as it isn't too revealing. Plus, you can never go wrong with a little black dress.
Primark Leopard print pencil skirt - £8
I love this and everything about it! Can't wait to wear it for a night out. I really want to wear it in the day time with tights, but I'm a little unsure of what to team it with for day wear, so if you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them.
Republic shoes - £15
Last but certainly not least, my favourite purchase of the day. These glitter ball shoes fulfil every shoe destiny! I love everything about them, and the great thing too is that they're so comfy (believe it or not!). Cannot wait to put them on my feet.
And finally, I would like to make an announcement. My Boyfriend and I have officially moved into our first home together! I moved all of my belongings in over the weekend, so I'm all settled in. Just in time for Valentines Day, which was lovely. It has been a lovely couple of days organising all of our things and doing typical house things; i.e - doing our first 'Big Shop' together.
I'm hoping to get up some kind of House Tour blog post up at some point, and I also have my own dressing room! Just like my blog - Lauren's Dressing Room. It's real! Ha ha. I'll also be doing an updated makeup/vanity set up storage post too.
If you have any requests of upcoming posts you'd like to see, I'd be really happy for you to request them in the comments below.

Shorty
Jumper: Vila c/o MeeMee, Shorts: ASOS, Tights: Dorothy Perkins, Boots: Jeffrey Campbell c/o Sarenza.
This was Saturday's attire, until I noticed the gaping hole on the waist of the shorts at least...I'm so accident prone, another one for the sewing pile!
Happy mid-week!
